Hello, everyone who may be reading this! This is Asher Kaperdon, talking about my mix of Phantasmagoria.
Some of you may be already aware, but this song is orriginally from Touhou 3: Phantasmagoria of Dim.
Dream, as an unused song. That song was made with FM synths back in the 90's, and as such some of the
instruments arn't exactly classical to be identifiable. Even so, the one part spoke out to me when I
first heard it as a flute. Honestly, when I first came up with the idea of Hanran's character, I wanted
this to be her theme, and is also why the main melody of the original theme is a flute part. I've changed
the beat of precutions to something else and removed other part in the end for two reason. 1, it sounded
more grandious and solom, and thus more fitting for the end of the 'Visual' novel I made for the Game Jam.
2, which is the cynical reason of I did not have any time to fully add them. The precution was invented by
me via need of having one rather than being true to the original. It came out OK, it was better than nothing
which may be why I placed so highly than others in the catagory. That said, I probably should haved worked
on making one or two songs the best I could instead of 5-6 mediocer for the jam. Things to learn for Game
Jam 6, I suppose.
